Rewind back to 1982, and this song was playing in the clubs non-stop, and ladies were on the floor getting down! Now, I am hoping a bride-to-be will see this post, and keep the tradition of "cutting a rug" going!
Why not use this song during the reception, or maybe even for the first dance with your husband (hint, hint) :-) Enjoy!
Although this song is far from a "traditional" wedding song- I still think it would be a great one to use as a first dance song for a artsy farsty couple :-) The video makes me think of my hubby and I, because we met as young kids and although he is a professional musician, he always jokes that I am the true rockstar of the family! lol.
I love this song because if anybody knows me I am a HUGE Jodeci fan and so is my hubby :-) I never even knew this song was a "wedding" song until my then boyfriend and soon to be fiance showed me the video. He went on to joke, "if" we get married - we gotta use this song :-) Needless, to say we used this song during our processional!
If you all haven't already seen this video, you're going to love it! - Trinity United Church of Christ here in Chicago, has a marriage ministry that is doing something special with their couples- Isn't it refreshing to see Black married couples dancing together in church! It really is a sweet idea :-) Go head Trinity!
If you know anything about Christina Aguilera - you know that girl has some pipes on her! I recently heard this song, and had to find out what album this appeared on. Well, turns out it appeared on the Stripped album - but it was overshadowed by the more popish mega hit "Beautiful". I don't think its a concidence that she got married not much longer after this song dropped- must have something to do with Mr. Jordan Bratman aka the Hubby! lol. Either way, I think this song was beautifully written about how love should be. Hope you enjoy!
Today my husband reminded me of why I fell for him all over AGAIN!! LOL. He sent me this music link with a gorgeous song by Anthony Hamiliton. I can see many couples, using this in 2010 for their first dance. Enjoy!
Hey there! So today begins my countdown to my second year anniversary with my man- Mr B! Our anniversary is actually next Wednesday but I've been inspired to do a blog posting everyday until then- can you tell im excited!
So to start the countdown, here's one of the best songs of the year, a song that made me really appreciate Ushers talent and his maturity: from a boy to man. One idea for couples looking for "the perfect processional song" - would this be a great as both the bride and groom make their grand entrance? ;-) Just an idea. Enjoy!
